Highgate Depot: Solar Panel Feasibility

GEF assessed the structural, logistical, and sustainability viability of installing solar panels at Highgate Sidings Shed to align with TfL’s green objectives.

Project Descriptions

Green Energy Futures supported a feasibility study for solar panel installation at Highgate Depot. The study focused on maximising solar potential while navigating structural limitations and legacy infrastructure.

The depot site posed significant challenges including asbestos risks, structural degradation, and outdated facility systems—all of which complicated the installation of a modern renewable energy solution.
